Our Tuk-Tuks were decked out in vibrant BACARDÍ livery that dashed around the streets of Auckland. The destinations: the most colourful and energetic bars around the city. We have been linking the cocktail lovers to the best drinks in town through this exciting activation.

The key was to connect up the 3 different quarters of Auckland (Ponsonby, Wynyard & Britomart). We had music playing all 8 hours every day & lots of props on board the Tuks for taking crazy selfies and fun games.

The bars all had a person coordinating the rides and had the tuk-tuks doing a circuit of all the venues which worked really well. The coordinators could see where each tuk-tuk was at any time and we all connected via goggle location tracking.

People loved the free Tuk Tuk ride and we were fully utilized & busy for the duration of the campaign.

It was a win-win for both Bacardi & the public.

What really worked here is the young passengers could relate to the music, the cool vehicles and the attention they were getting on the ride to the next venue and it gave them the flexibility to see and enjoy Auckland’s hot summer evenings & eating venues in just one night, and also take advantage of the superb giveaways & offers available at each location.

The client is extremely pleased with results and venues had a real opportunity to showcase their prime watering holes!

The Tuk Tuks circulated in both locations for the duration of the day and guest pre-booked ride to and from event that was coordinated through M Social and affiliated Millennium group hotels and marketing department.

The campaign ran very smoothly throughout the duration of the NZ fashion week with the Tuk Tuks providing back to back shuttle service for the VIP guest attending the event. They were in high demand during the course of each day.

The Marketing team were thrilled with the uptake and exposure commenting several times that in spite of the prestige limousines provided, the Tuk Tuks definitely stole the show and were the talk of the event for the Millennium group.

Bike Auckland presents Lightpath Festival (Te Ara I Whiti Festival): an annual celebration of Auckland’s diverse and unique culture that invites the public to play, bike, walk, run, and experience the lights of Auckland’s iconic and beloved ‘pink path’, Te Ara i Whiti, from day into night.

There are lots activities, and inviting people to play in public space in an entirely new way, while also encouraging Aucklanders to use more sustainable forms of transportation.

With music and street performers, market and food stalls, Brother’s Beer – beer garden, Mercury Plaza food court and outdoor dining area in parking lot, chill-out zone, and opportunities to ride a bike, the Festival offers something for the whole whānau in a spectacular, safe and highly accessible inner-city setting.

The Festival is inspired by visionary street parties locally and around the world: from Auckland Open Streets (with attendance of 30,000 along Karangahape Road in 2016) and Wellington’s CubaDupa, to Bogotá’s world-famous Ciclovía, the London FreeCycle Ride, the ‘Journées sans Voitures’ of Paris, and Summer Streets in New York City.

Was is a success?

Yes, it was and we are booked again this year on Dec 1^st 2018.

What’s our brief, yes you guessed it, to look after the lovely Kita & Anita and they’ve asked for their Tuk Tuk to be on hand to run them around.
